REMEMBERING MARGOT KIDDER
It’s been a couple months since beloved actress Margot Kidder passed away. Up to this point in our discography, we haven’t really covered anything of Kidder’s career…until now. Kidder has a small but memorable role in this film. Before we start focusing on Michael & Laurie, we’re looking back and honoring the amazing and influential career of Margot Kidder. What’s your favorite Margot Kidder movie? Make sure you let us know in the comments below.
THE LOOMIS ARC
Dr Samuel Loomis has always been the spear head to stop Michael at any cost for this franchise. For his follow-up to the 2007 re-imagining, Rob Zombie went a bit differently with this character. He made him an author who got famous off Micahel and the misery he created. Zombie crafts a world where Michael exists but yet it feels grounded and nature. As if the doctor who poured into this patient for 15 years - this is what would really happen.
LAURIE & MENTAL HEALTH
Horror movies have this way of never really showcasing what happens after the events of the film. Let’s face it, those sometimes are truly the most interesting moments to truly see. While franchises like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, & The Texas Chainsaw Massacre have given us good content - they’ve never really showed what happens the day after. Halloween II vows to change that and it does. It sets out to not only show the day after but how events like this stick with you.
